Cure Violence is an epidemic control approach that includes violence interruption, outreach to people at the highest risk, and norm change and involves managing violence in the same way that we manage other epidemics.

We are here building harmony and coexistence in the community. Soccer, recreation, bike routes – we didn’t have any of that before, but now we do, and those things fill the neighborhood with something positive for us. And the violence fades with the community participation.

Part of CVG Gender and Masculinity training in Honduras. Participants in the training learned basic concepts about gender and masculinity in addition to more advanced concepts related to gender-based violence and alternative masculinities.
CVG site in NYC conducted training for its managers and supervisors. The participants were divided into teams and were tasked with designing real-world scenarios and how they would act to save lives.
I was a kid that you find on the street corners, thinking about doing bad stuff. But, since Cure Violence arrived, my life has shifted. I’ve become a role model for other kids. Now, I want to become an electrical engineer, and I’m trying my hardest every single day to do so.
