Your parents pay per weekend… $300 for team fees $800 for hotels and food per weekend $100 weekend pass to watch games $100 in gas $200 shoes & jersey And when the game starts you come out and don’t play as hard as possible?🤷
@CoachWolfson Maybe - just maybe - parents have made it all about them - sports are out of control due to adults on every level
@CoachWolfson The mentality that parents are owed a “return on their investment” is a perfect illustration of what’s wrong with youth sports
@CoachWolfson Agreed! And Counterpoint - if you are a parent paying that money and your kid isn’t playing hard maybe make this your last weekend.
@CoachWolfson Wait what sport? Our team fees are $10k.
@CoachWolfson If this is the case than shame on the parents for continuously doing it...
@CoachWolfson The realest thing I've seen all day. Try being a single parent pulling this off. I used to be on my son's neck!
@CoachWolfson It’s almost like it’s a terrible idea to invest that type of money unnecessarily into kid’s sports because they are unpredictable. Play in local leagues.
@CoachWolfson @Trigonis30 And here lies the problem. If we are talking 13 and up I get it. Under the age of 13 it is absolutely ridiculous to put kids under this type of pressure. Let the kid get a great foundation before putting them under the microscope at a time where psychologically they aren’t ready.
