@jakefreshy43 @juliandorey Brutal! For about 8 years growing up we had a cow who would calve in our willows. Had to keep the dogs in and avoid the back yard until they left. But brand new blind stumbling moose calves are god damn adorable.

@jakefreshy43 @juliandorey Black bears seem more unpredictable. Grizz usually mind their business, but have had to fire some warning shots over their heads to scare them off. Rarrely see cougars but tons around. Often find their tracks on top of mine when heading down so you know they're stalking&watching

@jakefreshy43 @juliandorey Elk depends... early in the season when rutting you can bugle them in. Once that's over we hike and track. Hike to the top of a ridge so youre at 7000ft+ for sunrise then spot and track. Down around Crowsnest Pass.
