@MCarayannis is reporting the Tigers have signed Jake Averillo on a 4 year deal. He’ll play centre next year and be given an opportunity to compete for the vacant 5/8 spot in 2028 He mentioned Javon Andrew’s is considered the long term 5/8 with Madden and Latu Fainu off contract

Then the top 30 halves will be Doueihi, Andrew’s, Latu and Averillo as the utility I’ll be fairly shocked if Jake gets games at 6 in a full strength team, but he’s the perfect guy as back up 1/6

@nameisameme @MCarayannis Imo Latu will stay on something like a 2 year deal. Hes in the 17 every week, they clearly like him. The 2028 pre season will be a shoot out likely between 3 guys for the 6. Latu and Averillo will still be in the team even if not 6. Doeuihi never plays a full season either.

Since Adam Doueihi moved to halfback in round 22 2025 the tigers have won 7 of the 8 games he’s played the whole 80 minutes. The one game they lost was by 1 point They have lost all 7 games where he didn’t play or didn’t finish the 80 minutes
