Jacob Saifiti suffered what was reported to be an “ankle or achilles” injury by the Knights. Push off mechanism brings concern for achilles/calf injury - did try & play on after assessment by the trainer but couldn’t run. Hopefully avoided a tear but can’t be ruled out.

Tom Chester left the field with a hamstring injury & it looked like a pretty nasty one. Even the most minor of strains are usually unable to return the next week - so Chester likely facing a multi-week stint on the sideline.
A weird 2024 statistic that doesn’t actually mean anything but in 71% of the games Penrith have played this year, an opposing back has been ruled out in the first half Rd 2 - Bailey Simonsson Rd 3 - Reece Walsh Rd 5 - Reuben Garrick Rd 7 - Junior Tupou Rd 8 - Tom Chester
Jock Madden didn’t return due to a left pectoral injury - Broncos indicated post match they are hopeful it isn’t too bad but doubtful for next week. Video not great (didn’t show a replay), but didn’t appear to be a typical pec rupture mechanism (seemed more landing on shoulder).
Api Koroisau was ruled out tonight with nerve pain in his back. Was initially reported as a “back cork”, mechanism shows heavy contact onto back during tackle. Can cause joint/nerve irritation & muscle spasm, but Tigers confident he will be available next week.
Reece Walsh & Adam Reynolds both failed to finish the game for the Broncos - probably some of the most limiting muscle cramps seen in a while with both barely able to walk. Thankfully muscle cramping isn’t a long term issue - both should be fine for next week.
For the Panthers: - Scott Sorensen out after aggravating MCL sprain he recently returned from - hope is that he will only be out short term - Moses Leota out with a shoulder injury - Sunia Turuva also ruled out with no injury designation, though suggestion it is a knee issue
Tom Flegler is considered the “furthest away” from returning of the Dolphins shorter term injuries (via @JoelGould6). Wayne Bennett provided further info on the “week-to-week” report - would assume Flegler is at least 3-4 weeks from returning, dealing with shoulder nerve damage.

Good case study of an acl deficient player. Ran a 4.43 40 yard too. Second one recently I can recall including tyjae spears who was good at rb for Tennessee last season
Again re Brad Arthur. Any suggestion Eels should keep him as head coach just because he has a son who is potentially a quality FG hooker - and we don’t want to lose said son - is a suggestion that should be confined to the inner walls of a psychiatric institution.
