A new report claims PlayStation could be using social media bots to defend its decision to stop making physical game discs. According to Moore’s Law Is Dead, AI was used to analyze accounts posting in support of PlayStation’s digital-only future. The report says many of those accounts looked suspicious, with recent creation dates, AI-generated profile pictures, and very similar posting patterns.

Valve has replaced a customer’s stolen Steam Machine after the device disappeared just hours after it was delivered. The customer said the package was left outside their home while they were at work, and by the time they got back, it was gone. They contacted Steam Support, and Valve agreed to send them a replacement instead of leaving him without the console.

❗️ An Israeli startup founder secretly uploaded a cluster of malicious typosquatted npm packages that impersonate Anthropic, Vercel, LangChain, Ollama, OpenAI and Aspect Security and profile developer machines on install. The packages skip passwords and tokens by design. Instead, the install script harvests identity: hostname, every git and SSH email on the box, teammate emails from the git reflog, AWS/GCP profile and account details, and the corporate DNS domain, all shipped to a Google Cloud Run endpoint. There were about 20k downloads before takedown.

Instagram users can now have their public photos used to create AI images through Meta’s new Muse Image feature. If you have a public Instagram account, your photos can be used by default unless you choose to opt out, meaning you have to turn the feature off yourself With Muse Image, people can tag a public Instagram account in a prompt, and Meta AI can use that account’s public photos to generate new AI images. If you don’t want your photos used this way, you can turn the feature off in Instagram → Settings → Sharing and reuse. Meta says private accounts aren’t included, you won’t be notified if someone uses your public photos, and any AI images created before you opt out will stay available.

Starting today, all new cars registered in the European Union must include a driver monitoring system. The system uses a camera or sensors to check if the driver is paying attention to the road. If the driver looks away for too long, it will warn them with a sound or visual alert. This new rule only applies to newly registered vehicles from July 7, 2026. It does not affect cars already on the road. The EU says is to help prevent crashes caused by distracted driving. The system is designed to monitor the driver inside the car and warn them if they lose focus.

PlayStation updated its Terms of Service in April 2026, and Section 21 outlines how inactive PSN accounts may be closed. > If a PSN account remains inactive for 36 months, Sony may begin the account closure process. The account holder will receive an email notification and has 6 months to sign in or request that the account remain active. > If no action is taken and the account is closed, access to PlayStation Network services will end. >Any digital purchases tied to that account, including games, DLC, and other digital content, will no longer be accessible.
