I am at the US National Academies of Sciences in Washington DC. Day 2 has started with a wonderful Keynote presented by Hilary Marston, Chief Med Officer of the @US_FDA. I am excited to hear her mention microclots as a key area of research and possible causation. #teamclots

Oncology nurses tell me they've never seen their patients so sick. Cardiologist tells me he's never put so many patients on heart monitors. ER docs tell me they're busier now than peak pandemic. I've never seen this level of critical lab results. I'll be wearing my respirator.
