I invest with the idea of buying business I can be comfortable owning even if I was in a coma for 100 years. Timberland stocks is something I am looking into currently because they 1: Aren’t making any more land. 2: People will always need Lumber. 3: Seems like a good hedge against an inflating dollar. We are on the same page about the 2 Timberland REITs $RYN & $WY . I am curious how big of an allocation these 2 stocks could potentially be as a percent of your portfolio? Are you okay with this sector being over 10%? What is your ideal allocation between the 2? Or is it all valuation based?

I doubt it will drop due to share dilution. They have plenty of cash at the moment. They will likely fall as the lock up period for the remaining shares ends. That will greatly increase the supply of shares. I am not an owner yet. Looking to make it 10% of my portfolio at $40. Might take till next year for it to get there. If I miss I miss. I am not going to chase the hot stock. Even at a $40 per share the valuation is rich but I believe there is a chance of a 100 trillion market cap by 2100. Need to have a long time horizon. Trying to think multi generational.

@NotA_Bull Kids nowadays are SCREENMAXXING. Netflix / YouTube in the background Playing a video game while using their phones. Not the best comparison since you can use multiple screens at once. Might make $META & $NFLX ‘s ads less valuable tho if people are only half paying attention.

Haha very true. The allocation is so top heavy in the S&P today. The Halal SP index funds are much worse. $SPUS is majority big tech. Although I approve the concept and staying away from immoral companies is a just principle I would not recommend someone buy these funds. You buy an index funds to be diversified and all the Sharia funds are not diversified at all.

@StockMKTNewz I would recommend this book for anyone interested in Buffet or investing in general. A bit dry at times but shows year by year his investments and shows why he is the GOAT. 🐐
