My wife, @NeriOxman, was just contacted by Business Insider claiming that they have identified other plagiarism in her work including 15 examples in her dissertation where she did not cite Wikipedia as a source. Business Insider told us that they are publishing their story this evening. As a result, we don't have time to research their claims prior to publication. It is unfortunate that my actions to address problems in higher education have led to these attacks on my family. This experience has inspired me to save all news organizations from the trouble of doing plagiarism reviews. We will begin with a review of the work of all current @MIT faculty members, President Kornbluth, other officers of the Corporation, and its board members for plagiarism. We will be using MIT's own plagiarism standards which can be found here: integrity.mit.edu/handbook/what-… We will share our findings in the public domain as they are completed in the spirit of transparency.
@BillAckman @NeriOxman Now you know how Dave Portnoy and all the other victims of the media machine feel. They write the story, say they’re publishing it and that you have 24 hours to comment, and then use anything you say against you if you reply. It’s literally a playbook they follow. It’s tiresome.
@BillAckman @NeriOxman Hypocrisy a feature, not a bug. DEI activists love being able to dish out punishment and will make every excuse to avoid it even if they violate their own standards. In other words: the woke hate accountability.
When they throw a punch we must punch back harder. DEI is a tool for bullies that we have allowed to become entrenched throughout our institutions. I am glad you are taking the fight to them. Those with platforms need to step up to the responsibility. I applaud you and your family for doing just that.
@BillAckman @NeriOxman Begun, the plagiarism wars have...But in all seriousness BI is a joke and a filthy rag not worth printing out and using to light a bonfire. No one takes them seriously and neither should you. They prove their own irrelevance every day.
@BillAckman @NeriOxman Good for you. They want to play nasty, go get em.
@BillAckman @NeriOxman @BusinessInsider is owned by a German mass media organization. The interference in American institutions and politics has entered the EU. Germany has ZERO grounds to get involved. But, maybe some Germans can start checking University of Berlin faculty for plagiarism too.
@BillAckman @NeriOxman Nice....and great comeback. Lets see the same done across all Ivy League professors and others in Academia. Let's see whose clean? Great idea
@BillAckman @NeriOxman Please do Henry Rogers aka Ibram X. Kendi, too. x.com/ibramxk
@BillAckman @NeriOxman So, it’s someone else’s fault your wife plagiarized?
