Most of those people are complete bystanders who had nothing to do with the leaks. A multi-billion dollar company turning Discord into a mass surveillance tool the second their IP gets threatened. And remember… once they have that personal data, there’s no real guarantee they can even protect it. These big companies get breached regularly. First they forced Discord and Microsoft to hand over personal data from tens of thousands of bystanders. Now people are saying ordinary discussion is enough to get locked. This is not okay. When a multi-billion dollar company can silence people for talking about their own legal actions, that is no longer about protecting copyright. That is about control. This isn’t about copyright anymore. This is about control. Artistic freedom is not a crime. Open discussion builds truth. Silence builds control. And now Take-Two / Rockstar is doing the exact same playbook. They forced Discord and Microsoft to hand over personal data from tens of thousands of people: emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, device IDs, linked accounts… Most of those people never leaked a single frame. They were just in certain servers. Now they’re also going after specific X and Google/YouTube accounts they want unmasked. You really trust a company that can’t even keep its own highly anticipated game secure… to safely hold the private data of 100,000 people? This is a golden egg for any hacker. Once that data is collected, it’s only a matter of time before it gets breached and sold. I don’t care about the leaks themselves. I don’t care if CyberLeek dumps the entire game. I’ve been calling out Rockstar’s red flags for a long time, the predatory monetization, the digital ownership scam, the control. This mass data grab just proves how far they’re willing to go. And the people defending it? Even smoother-brained than I thought.

GTA 6 lawyers are throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. In addition to Discord, they are now subpoenaing Google, YouTube, X, and Microsoft-Xbox to try to "find" who this person is. So far, they have banned a likely fake impersonator Cyberleeks X account. This probably means that they got NOTHING, and they are desperate now as their "reputation" is on the line. Interesting how they can waste millions of dollars on lawyer fees fighting the leaker, as the Streisand effect of their rabid lawfare is starting to backfire. Microsoft has stated it will cooperate with the Subpoenoa... which will include data on GitHub, OneDrive, Xbox accounts, and Windows machine ID's...

This is getting worse. They’re now pulling real names and home addresses on people who only made predictions or talked about the leaks. And of course Reddit folded instantly and handed his information over. Classic Reddit. This is exactly why Take-Two’s mass data grab is so dangerous. A multi-billion dollar company that still can’t protect its own game or its own employees is now getting regular people’s private info from platforms that roll over the second a subpoena shows up. We need platforms that actually fight this, not ones that fold every time.
