"If someone moves to another country to live or work, do you think they should or should not have to learn the language of that country?" They should: 83% They should not: 9% via @YouGov, 19 Feb
@BritainElects @YouGov Guess all the immigrants from England who live in Spain need to be deported then 🤷♂️
@alex_wright352 @BritainElects @YouGov Where did it say people should be deported? 🤔 And you're assuming that English people don't learn foreign languages. That is a racist stereotype.
@alex_wright352 @BritainElects @YouGov 300,000 mainly pensioners adding €s to the economy and not taking jobs and forcing down wages.... V 4 million EU national's swamping NHS, school's and only the ones earning inexcess of £30,000 contribute more in tax than they take in benefits
@alex_wright352 @BritainElects @YouGov If you want to live and work In Spain you should learn Spanish
@alex_wright352 @BritainElects @YouGov You mean all the remainers that like to live in foreign countries but are too lazy to learn the local language?
@alex_wright352 @BritainElects @YouGov Most people I’ve known who have moved to Spain have mastered the language, if working. The Costas comprise mainly retired whose command of the language is not so essential, particularly as the bars etc they visit are served by many different, English speaking, nationalities.
@alex_wright352 @BritainElects @YouGov I don’t even disagree with that. If the Spanish government decided to then sure. It makes sense.
