This guy is really some sort of canine saint.🙏 Thank you for all you do for dogs.🐾
Encouraging, because in many ways Pope Francis is really quite Anglican.

So, to be clear, @Keir_Starmer lied to @susannareid100 when he said he speaks to @RosieDuffield1, conveying to the #GMB audience that they enjoy a congenial relationship. It's really quite astonishing, because if he apologised to Rosie, his approval rating among women would soar.
Art cannot play things safe. Not because it has to be provocative to be good. But because it needs to challenge its own boundaries, bump against the rough edges, and experiment to become good. If artists can't do that, then you get a beige world.
I feel for @georgegalloway here (and I don't say that easily, not least because he's blocked me), but this is unnecessarily aggressive interviewing, and it *is* very interesting that Monty Panesar is standing for @WorkersPartyGB. Journalistic challenges can be courteous.

Because the person delivering it holds a different view from you and lives in a free country. It’s not enormously complex.

This is very moving. I was so blessed to have a father who often mentioned in passing that he’d enjoyed my work. But parents - do keep a stash of mementos of your kids. Because when your child finds your keepsakes of them when you are gone, it will never be forgotten.

This is an interesting question. It isn't actually Kate Forbes' Christianity that's the problem for so many; it's that she's the “wrong kind” of Christian. She believes in traditional moral orthodoxy and sexual ethics. Humza Yousaf is the “right kind” of Muslim: liberal,…

What is astonishing about this is that there's so much ammunition for Labour to deploy – verifiable words and acts undermining honesty, integrity, competence – that it beggars belief they've chosen to fabricate, so raising questions about their own honesty, integrity, competence.

The NUJ are complaining about a single column by the @spectator's excellent theatre critic Lloyd Evans for its “sexist and degrading” language. Have they read any Rod Liddle... just about every week?

I rather like Graham Brady, but I don't understand why he (and others) blame Tory members for choosing the wrong (/“disastrous”) leaders. MPs have numerous ‘sifting’ rounds before ordinary members get a look in. It stands to reason that members might assume that MPs discern…

Indeed. Have Labour yet admitted the VAT effect on specialist arts schools – ballet, theatre, music, cathedral choir? If parents can't afford the VAT, are arts-gifted children just leaving? Are cathedral school choirs just closing? And what about low-fee schools like IGS Durham?

“People freely fall in love and can marry within the law, so let's legalise assisted dying to mitigate human suffering.” Right.

I imagine Russell Brand is being derided and accused of all manner of hypocrisies. But what's interesting about this is his talk of ‘mission’, and the fact that we don't know who baptised him or which church he now worships at, because that points toward humility and a distinct…

It's a real dilemma for him. The reality is that @Nigel_Farage has succeeded. His critics say he stood again and again for Parl't and always lost. His supporters say that without becoming an MP he changed the course of Britain: his Brexit Party won the 2019 Euros; we left the EU.…

The joke of it (which is really no joke at all) is the belief that NHS ‘Talking Therapy’ is a credible or viable alternative to a basic living income. Provision is patchy, and phone calls (if they bother to call) can compound depression with anxiety, especially if money is tight.

Every word of this brief thread. Yes, there's a problem with some claimants gaming the system and some GPs facilitating them, but depression and anxiety are very real for very many, and I fear compounding those illnesses with further anxiety risks pushing some over the edge.

If the Govt extends the Windsor Framework trade border in the Irish Sea to incorporate the immigration border for the Republic of Ireland, Sunak would alienate millions. It is inconceivable that Britons would be required to present passports travelling within their own country.
