@sos_street Could you point me to those, so far all I have read is that that trucks and their drivers are bad. Happy to be corrected if that's not your opinion. I think a balanced approach is needed and an acceptance that no solution bis ideal for everyone.

@evil_del @yplac_ed @CitizenSnagging @Ekkowaste The law also says not to block a running carriageway. But on balance which is the lesser of the two evils. Blocked carriageway is the number 1 cause of ambulance delay in London. People actually die because of it. Let's not end up at that

@yplac_ed @CitizenSnagging @Ekkowaste Out of interest where would you rather they stop? If they stop on the main carriageway they would block the passage of emergency vehicles. Cycles can use the road and Peds can use the pavement, what's the issue?

It will be the generators running to keep the fridge/freezer on and the heating for the drivers who will be on rest. The solution to this is to have some shore power installed but there is nowhere nearby that is suitable.

Yes the contactor should have lifted them by now but if you took a moment of your day to stack the cones and lean off the sign the visually impaired would be able to navigate more easily. #CommonSense

Having passed these works a few times you would need to close all lanes southbound, that would push all of the traffic on to more residential streets.

I think that we as a society should accept that these contractors are doing bthe best they can under the conditions present. They are in my experience always having to make the best of a bad bunch
