Jeremy Hunt repeats his claim that £100,000 isn't a "huge salary" "While it might sound like a high salary.. if you've got a mortgage and you've got childcare costs it doesn't go as far as you might think".
@AdamBienkov Bit out of touch considering the average salary in the UK is deemed to be £35k. People on that salary have mortgages and childcare costs too. Hunt personifies how demonstrably detached from reality the Conservatives have truly become.
@AdamBienkov If people can’t cope with the cost of living on £100,000 and the average salary is £35,000, then the economy is so spectacularly fucked that you, as Chancellor, should resign and trigger an election.
@AdamBienkov Have these people earning £100k a year tried eating fewer avocadoes and cancelling Netflix?
@AdamBienkov Mr Hunt needs to seriously go and reconsider this position. x.com/i_iratus/statu…

🙄 #JeremyHunt insists £100,000 isn't a "huge salary." Clearly, he's out of touch with the struggles of ordinary people. For most, that kind of income is a luxury beyond reach. Let's prioritize fair wages and support for those truly facing financial hardships, rather than sympathizing with the privileged few. 💸👥
@AdamBienkov Digging a Tory-sized hole for himself.
@AdamBienkov So, the problem is the cost of housing & chilcare ... something Mr Hunt & his team have had 14 years to address? Have I got that right?
@AdamBienkov So based on that fact the Tories will make sure every household has a 6 figure income then🤔
@AdamBienkov I'm sure the doctors and nurses at his local hospital would love to hear of his struggles. But then he uses private doesn't he
