WHOA. I did hill reps today (10×30s @ RPE 9 with 90s recoveries)… and I was able to do the 30s hill reps over a minute per mile faster than I did the exact same workout 6 weeks ago—and I wasn’t exactly in bad shape in January! 🤯 Props to the @8020endurance “Fun Faster” plan.

@8020endurance The end result should be a steady (or even exponential) growth in your skills, without the burnout that most new devs experience. Does this match your experience? Going back to your newbie developer days, what would you do differently?
@8020endurance High intensity doesn’t mean burning out. It’s about finding challenges that push you just enough to learn and grow. Think of it as the difference between a challenging run and running until you drop. (5/6)
@8020endurance Work with high intensity 20% of the time on projects, tutorials or other work just outside your current skill level. Push yourself into the 'ah, this sucks' stage of learning, which always arrives before a breakthrough. (4/6)
@8020endurance For new developers, distribute your learning intensity. Spend around 80% of your learning on foundational and lower-intensity work. Think short projects, mastering the fundamentals of a language, learning core programming concepts etc... (3/6)
