@F15sRdaBest The necessity of flying the exact runway heading does make the mission a bit more delicate. It's not nearly as bad as over water mining however, because there you have to be exactly where they want you. One A-6 was lost during such a mission late in the war. Unnecessary.

@charliekmox Not really a serious piece of writing there, I wouldn't read into it too much. The flights have been a rip roaring success with very heavy passenger loads, definitely above 95%. BA saw the success of the Lufthansa Frankfurt flight. The City/County had almost nothing to do with it
