A lot of Colombians and other nationalities here are on student visas but working full-time hours, hanging only with their own people. No Aussie friends, no interest in the culture. They're not here to become Australian — they're just using the country as an ATM to send money home. This isn't migration, it's exploitation. Colombians, and Indians :They treat marriage like a visa hack instead of actually building a life here. It's the same mindset — take what you can get from Australia, give nothing back.

A lot of people aren't coming to join Australia anymore — they're coming to use it. Work for a few years, send every dollar home, live in their own little bubble, then leave. No interest in becoming Australian, learning the culture, or putting anything back in. That's not migration, that's economic extraction. The old model assumed people came here because they wanted to be part of this country. That assumption is breaking down, and governments haven't caught up They still count the bodies coming in like it's the same as twenty years ago, but the intent behind a lot of it has completely change

Australia's been way too loose on who it lets in. We've had refugee intakes from some of the highest-risk countries on Earth with basically no real screening for cultural fit, values, or integration potential. The result is exactly what you're seeing — imported tribal violence that doesn't magically disappear because someone hands them a visa. Tightening it means: Heavy preference for skilled migrants who already speak English and share basic Western values. Proper vetting of refugee streams — not just "are they in danger," but "can they actually function in a first-world country?" Dramatic cuts to family reunions and chain migration from high-risk groups. Real consequences for the ones already here — cancel visas fast, no appeals, and actually deport them. The soft approach of "we'll integrate them eventually" has been tried for decades. It's failed. Countries that are strict about who they let in don't have these problems at the same scale. Simple as that.

The system's failing these kids, sure. But 'no more bail, straight to jail' runs into two problems: prisons have become recruitment spots for radicals, and for young offenders, locking them up often just makes them worse — over half reoffend fast. Real fix means parents stepping up, actual consequences that stick, and stopping the revolving door where they know they'll be back out quick. What's your take on what actually works?

Don't call me a liar for stating facts. I live here. In Sydney, plenty of suburbs have median house prices between $2M and $4M. Raising one child to 18 costs around $300k-$400k. For most people on normal wages, you simply can't afford both a house and kids anymore. It's maths, not a lifestyle choice.

You don't live here in Australia. I do . If I could have children l would of. (My was a medical reason ) I know plenty of woman who would rather have kids but can't financially . They can't afford it . Its got nothing to do with " wealth' or lifestyle . Australia is expensive Especially when most of the major cities are In the million dollar mark . Ask any "Aussie" on here? Our wages have barely gone up to keep up with the rising costs Of living here. It's bad enough we have a shitty government in charge .
