The 2nd Amendment's Misconstrued 'Militia' zerohedge.com/political/2nd-…
@zerohedge pastebin.com/RksiiWxi GPT4 summary of DC vs Heller -- where the court went into DETAILED analysis (linguistic, intent when ratified, etc.) about why the 'militia' portion of the clause is not a restriction whatsoever
@zerohedge We need to get this part fixed: ‘Thanks to the National Defense Act of 1916 and amendments in 1933, today’s National Guard is legally a part of the United States Army, with state governments exercising only limited government control.’ It wouldn’t be without problems to undo…
That was a long read I am not sure where it ended up, but interesting we can form militias to keep the government in check… hopefully we will never have to do that. As an American I am tired of loosing rights because we can not keep the 1% of the population in check. It’s become one of the most frustrating issues. Our government, full of lawyers, thinks if they make a law all is good! At first maybe yes but now it’s clear that laws do not solve our true problems!
@zerohedge Russian propaganda accounts should sit this one out, especially with your gun laws.
@zerohedge "A well-schooled electorate, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and read Books, shall not be infringed."
@zerohedge If you need the definition of a well regulated militia, go and Watch “The Patriot”. The government never gave those people weapons to fight. They were Farmers who had weapons and used those to stand up to the king of Englands Army. This why it was included in the 2nd amendment
@zerohedge It’s real simple. The militia = the people.
@zerohedge When our forefathers started a war due to taxes only to tax the liberated peoples of the colonies… If everyone 🛑 paying their taxes for one year the govt would be in shambles. THAT is how much power we have, a militia is necessary and needed more than ever.
@zerohedge Just to be clear, the NDA is unconstitutional. It was instituted when some governors wouldn’t send their militias for, again, unconstitutional acts against Mexico, although the BS claim is it was Mexico doing the aggression.
@zerohedge TL;DR Armed people can form a well-regulated militia. Unarmed people cannot.
