“West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice, a coal magnate, has vetoed legislation aimed at supporting renewable energy development, claiming it would hurt the coal industry. Justice on Tuesday vetoed House Bill 5528, which would have raised the cap on how much capacity a renewable electric facility may generate and removed a sunset date on a state program designed to promote utility-scale renewable power Justice approved in 2020.” -Mike Tony, Charleston Gazette-Mail This bipartisan legislation sailed through the WV state legislature with support of 69% of all legislators. Coal baron Jim vetoed it anyway. Jim is placing his private profits ahead of far cleaner, far more affordable energy for WV ratepayers. We can’t risk sending this clown to the Senate. I’m the only candidate running who can prevent him from getting there. If you can, please help me stop him today. secure.actblue.com/donate/shrewsb…
@zachshrewsbury That's why instead of buying the Governor like Coal Barons always have, he became governor.
@zachshrewsbury When is the election in WV @zachshrewsbury for Governor
@zachshrewsbury This is infuriating for normal Americans. Why are we letting wealthy people with business interests have even more power over us by giving them positions of power to protect those interests for their own benefit? SMDH
@zachshrewsbury The choice for West Virginia is easy. You can either embrace the future like Pittsburgh did when they transitioned to medical & tech or get left behind desperately clinging to dying industries. The people blaming renewables don't even understand that natural gas killed coal.
@zachshrewsbury Come on people of WV. Last thing we need is another lawyer or a coal baron representing WV in DC ! Zach needs financial support to win this. Thanks
