I see that #IStandWithNickCarter is trending and I just want every single one of you to know you absolutely disgust me. Multiple accusations of rape and abuse and you would rather support *him* because you think this uglyass man was cute twenty years ago. Vile.
To everyone saying things about him not being convicted, may I remind you of what happened today: x.com/discussingfilm…
@yourlovesupreme Is there or has there been any proof shown, actual proof, to back up any of these accusations? If not, then you're simply hating to hate. If he actually did it then I hope he eventually gets what is coming to him. If he didn't, his name shouldn't be drug though the mud.
@yourlovesupreme The accuser is Melissa Schulman, a former member of the girl group Dream. She and Nick were in a relationship during the early 2000s. They even did a duet together at one point.
@yourlovesupreme We saw the same thing with Johnny Depp.
@yourlovesupreme If people were aware of the things he has done that have not come out they would realize that Carter is one of the most vile serial rapists in history. I have spoken to several of his victims. There is not a doubt in my mind that he is as guilty as sin.
@yourlovesupreme In the years that followed, she acknowledged the relationship in a respectful manner, and she tweeted sympathy towards him after his sister Leslie died. It wasn't until the #MeToo movement took off that she changed her tune.
@yourlovesupreme It was a drastic pivot for a woman that was still expressing respect for him up to that point, and the timing of it all made it feel off. It's not that I don't want to believe her story, but the way she presented it and how she went about it lacked a foundation.
@yourlovesupreme I completely agree. I am so beyond infuriated and disgusted by this. They're defending a known rapist (amongst several other things) instead of standing w/victims... Beyond my comprehension.
