They see owning a business as the reward of working hard but once you employ people, you're making money off of their work, not yours. To actually make the money business owners get, they'd have to work more hours than there are in a day.

Home ownership is really an unbelievable thing to behold. I just watched my parents buy a home, live there for less than a decade and sell it to move again, "making" a quarter million dollars in the process. This is taken for granted by boomers and inaccessible to millennials.
