Each participant is developing both an individual and facility-level SMART action plan along with a peer-navigator strategy designed to extend the reach of rights-based and community-grounded care to the communities they serve. 2/2 @themamanetwork
It's the last day of our PAC and Mental Health Training for gender and sexual minorities, and participants are simulating and translating trauma-informed care frameworks into real-time responses to emergency complications and sensitive identity disclosures. 1/2 @themamanetwork
The sessions also centred on person-centred counselling, empathetic communication, and direct crisis intervention, grounding each approach in the lived realities and safety needs of those most failed by existing health systems. 3/3 @themamanetwork
We are equipping them to identify stress and compounded trauma among the marginalised communities they serve. Clinical competence must be matched by relational accountability. 2/3 @themamanetwork
Reproductive rights and mental health are inseparable. It's day 2 of our PAC and Mental Health training for sexual and gender minorities, and participants are building practical competence in validated screening tools. 1/3 @themamanetwork
