NEWS TikTok has issued a statement in reaction to the bill which forces its sale now moving forward to a vote in the Senate. ByteDance now has one year to sell once the bill is signed into law. Previously it was six months. “It is unfortunate that the House of Representatives is using the cover of important foreign and humanitarian assistance to once again jam through a ban bill that would trample the free speech rights of 170 million Americans, devastate 7 million businesses, and shutter a platform that contributes $24 billion to the U.S. economy, annually.”
@yashar “jam through a ban bill that would trample the free speech rights of 170 million Americans” Since when do they care about that sort of thing over there? x.com/yashar/status/…

@yashar Grindr was forced to sell to the US also, they’ll live
@yashar Not the owner of a Chinese app complaining about American 1st Amendment rights?!? 😂😂
@yashar Please tell them 你们这些共产主义者吸吮我的美国球袋 for me.
@yashar It’s really because tiktok has an algorithm linking random people to random people.. similar to what FB did during the “Arab spring” .. Ex cia/DOJ employees working at FB/google shouldn’t be allowed to do this..
@yashar How do you know it's "now moving forward"? ##TikTok #FuckCommunism
@yashar I hate this, TikTok has been such a lifesaver.
@yashar When is Twitter X going to be available China to influence their children and a good portion of adults?
@yashar They’ll never sell. This should get interesting.
