Pre Covid my wife was making $12.75 an hour. After being laid off during Covid, she took an online course for a different career. Her boss found out, brought her back at $15 an hour. Flash forward to now. My wife is making $30 per hour, which is not terrible. Do you think fast food workers are ever going to be worth 15$ much less 30$? Thats unsustainable.
@RikIronjaw This is proof minimum wage is ineffective and real education advances wages. The difference is we use entry level kid jobs as careers and don’t allow kids to learn.
@yancey_todd It’s not even about higher education. I started college at 17, law major, switched to education, joined the army, got out and didn’t go back to school, instead, I picked up a trade and took that shit as far as I could go. My companies paid for any schooling I took for the job.
