I see this take so often and I really don’t think we’re listening to the same album. That album is incredibly personal. It’s not a call to action. Survivors guilt. Loving yourself as a black person. The rage of experiencing life as a black person. Vices. He explores so much.

Songs like “U”. Wesley’s theory. Institutionalized. How much a dollar cost. The album is super self reflective. Idk why people keep projecting this “black power album” narrative onto an album about a nigga self reflecting and venting to TUPAC SHAKUR😭
@wetdishsoap Facts and honestly back then when I used to bump it heavy I rmr I had some white and other non black friends say they love the album or how amazing it is. And I’m not saying they can’t like it or think that but it’s essentially about the black experience u can’t tell me u love it
@wetdishsoap You know he just listened to alright and thought the whole album was that
@wetdishsoap When people say that’s a political album I chuckle.
@wetdishsoap Gkmc the introduction TPaB him figuring out how to navigate the industry how to navigate his life with his new found success Damn he's made it and he's embracing where he is. That's how ive always viewed those 3 projects
@wetdishsoap It’s nowhere near as personal as MMATBS It has conscious themes but not the most personal of his albums
@wetdishsoap Same thing he’s saying. It’s because of everything that happened that period is why yall glaze it sm.
