Sorry -- what in God's name are you talking about, Peter? He's an elected official. He posted it publicly. There's no basis for saying it was private conduct. There's no basis for he is private individual. There's no basis for calling criticism of this act illegitimate in any way, much less "authoritarian".
@wesyang @peterboghossian Theory: Dog Park posting, an attempt to demonstrate liberals are not very good at resisting even the most transparently bad manipulations.
It's the authoritarian accusation that gets me, as though there is no state of being that is innate in human beings that would lead one to find the actions anything other than viscerally appalling (only the rigid pieties of western Christianity could lead one to object) or that those who don't are acting out their own innate nature when even the most superficial examination would would reveal the complete perversion of a human nature.

@wesyang @peterboghossian Next he’ll be dragging out the old radfem purity spiral trope.
@wesyang @peterboghossian Peter sounds like he's gone Woke. A Grievance activist like he satirized.
@wesyang @peterboghossian I am going to assume that 'not in God's name is a joke'.
@wesyang @peterboghossian He was head of the children, families & youth department Wesley That's the key point Peter does not, it seems, recognise the significance of children's safeguarding here...
