I convinced the team to go with Codex because it’s really convenient to share plugins and skills with each other. I’d also love to see some settings become shareable. For example, I have an Obsidian MCP connected, while one of my teammates doesn’t. It would be great if Codex could recognize that and, when sharing a setup, offer to package or include an external MCP as well. I think that would be a really useful improvement. Overall, the main reasons we chose Codex were the productivity of the app and agent, the models being good at understanding instructions and what’s actually expected of them, and reasonable usage limits. I’m on a QA team, and we work on both manual and automated testing. One more improvement I’d probably ask for is making the agent a bit more responsive and willing to challenge its own tasks or assumptions. I’d like it to ask the user questions when something is unclear, and to evaluate its own actions more critically and realistically. Sometimes it can get stuck in an evaluation loop for a couple of iterations.
