TN had 6.29 c voters last time. Turnout was 73.6% ie 4.63 c voted. There are only 5.73 c voters this time. If the same 4.63 c turn up this time, the voting % will zoom to 80.7%. Simple math. Sharing this as most journos are poor in math and will jump up and down!

Edappadi Palanisamy EPS in my opinion is the Narasimha Rao of TN politics. He was selected, not elected, fought to keep his govt alive, despite the Tuticorin shooting created massive infrastructure and delivered good governance, wasn't that popular in the media or with the public

If the proportion of seats remains the same, how does it change the balance of power. If you have 6 out of 10 seats and number of seats increase to 20 and you have 12, your strength remains the same. All that changes is the size of electorate in each constituency reduces. So what’s the crib all about?
