#Supergirl was much better than I expected. Milly Alcock is a terrific actress, and she fully brings the character they wanted to create to life. The problem with the film is not Milly. The problem was already obvious from the trailer. The film simply does not have a story that feels substantial enough to be taken seriously. A self-alienated hero goes on a journey to save her dog. In other words, they seem to have aimed for something closer to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. But the reason HBO's series works is precisely because its characters are small, ordinary, and seemingly unimportant. It is the honorable journey of an unknown, everyday hero. Here, however, we are talking about Supergirl. Naturally, the audience expects a serious antagonist, memorable action, and a powerful character arc. Something closer to a Wonder Woman story. Instead, Supergirl is a very simple film. There is no real climax, no final-boss moment, no major emotional or physical peak. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Did I get enough of Milly Alcock? Absolutely. But as a whole, the film did not excite me, and it did not make me more excited for what comes next.

A small group of wealthy people are lying to billions of people in broad daylight, using their positions and the loopholes in the law to strip them of whatever they can. The foundations of the system we are trapped in today were laid in the early 2010s. Trump’s first presidency gave it confidence. His second term has pushed it completely out of control. This group of people is committing crimes right in front of us, and we remain silent. I am not silent, not really, but I am not in a position to mobilize people. This level of extremism has to be confronted collectively. Rational people need to take off their ties, step out of polite performance, and say, "enough is enough." In football, federations and national leaders, like Andy Burnham did already, need to speak out one by one, challenge what is happening, and intervene if necessary. We are not heading in the right direction. Because of Trump, whom the American people elected again, the entire world is suffering right now. The most powerful country on Earth is effectively helping raise the level of criminality across the planet. And this man still has two more years left. History will remember these days very clearly.

Rick and Morty season 9 was one of the peak seasons. Almost every episode was crazy and a fun ride. It is fascinating to watch writers push the imagination to the brink of oblivion in every episode. This season was a creative genius.

People are smacking this just because it is AI, but I think this is a great concept. And I am an avid supporter of AI for the use of concept or idea research. If Netflix produces this, I will guarantee it will be in the top 10 for weeks. People love these types of dystopian-mystery shows. Solid 3 seasons in your pocket. A little bit expensive to produce, but guaranteed turnaround.

The day HBO announced the cast of House of the Dragon, I started following Milly. I saw her photo and went straight to Instagram. From my perspective, she is dead gorgeous. Later, we all found out that she is also a very talented actress and a humble person. A lovely human being. It is shocking to see so many men trying to degrade her. Supergirl may have flopped at the box office, but that doesn't change the fact that she has a bright future.

I see a lot of Wows, but this scene is fundamentally stupid. Yet again. Why is a Balrog attacking Sauron? Makes no sense. I presume the Balrog will attack and realize he is Sauron. What a scene, right? There is an established order in Arda, and these two incompetent producers are messing with it just to get visual spectacle. On the screen, it looks cool, yeah, but fundamentally it is just stupid if you are well-versed in the universe, just like the companionship of an Elf and an Orc.

Partly true. Yes, this can be considered as giving more exposure. But at the same time, these people already have exposure. You cannot ignore the hate these people are pumping out. You have to talk about it. Yes, there is nothing educational in my post; it was just my expression. I wish this hadn't gone viral. At least not this post. But someone needs to call it out for who they are.

The Critical Drinker and variations of his types are not real people. They don't have a single real thought. They are parasites. Cancer inside society. All they do is spread hate and lie. These people are the lowest lows. We have to start acknowledging these people as sickness.

The first season was painful. But since Scally changed her stance, the show is bombastic. I am about to finish the third season, and I can say that, considering its years on air, this is a phenomenal show. I would have watched it every week if I were in my 30s in the 90s. Crazy adventures, weirdness, conspiracies, deep state... Every week is a new craziness. Really, really good show. Milks all the small-town phenomena like Satanism, UFOs, and deep state pretty well. I am pretty sure this show significantly boosted some of the beliefs.

The X-Files became much more entertaining with the second season. I guess the success of the first season led the writers to increase the shock value. Also, seeing Dana face after encountering all sorts of weird stuff is so funny. She cannot explain most of what is happening now; not only that, she is also witnessing it all firsthand, and every time she is more in awe. Funny enough, in the second season, she is more of a believer than Mulder.

Started to watch The X-Files. It's going to be a very hard journey because even after 6 episodes, I'm already highly irritated by Dana Scully. Always wrong, tries to rationalize everything, always in the wrong place and at the wrong time, and lastly, she has solved nothing yet. She is just an annoying mannequin right beside Fox Mulder. She saw two UFOs flying at bullet speed and said they must be part of a government project. Geeez! Really great writing.

@toastywitdamost Hi, casting is relevant, but the story is more relevant. In The Rings of Power, the black elf is the smallest problem. If you weren't brainwashed with culture wars, you could have focused on what matters either.

This is not Lord of the Rings. This is what happens when two incapable producers, who should probably never be trusted with a major project again, stumble into the Amazon lottery because the platform is too embarrassed to cancel the show. I have never seen a project treat its source material with this level of disrespect. It is genuinely shameful. I watched the second season with the faint hope that maybe something would change. After what I saw, Season 3 simply does not exist for me.

China's collective military training videos have always fascinated me. They make me think that an army trained to move like a machine could actually collapse in a real national conflict. Maybe I am wrong, but the battlefield is not a place that politely allows perfect collective movement. It is unpredictable, chaotic, and constantly changing. Once the fighting begins, much of that rehearsed training can become meaningless. Most operations do not unfold exactly as planned. You have to react to the enemy, adapt to unexpected movements, and take initiative in the moment. That is why I struggle to imagine an army conditioned all its life to move as one being able to make those individual decisions under pressure. The clearest example that comes to mind is North Korean soldiers. They may have trained their entire lives, but once they arrived on Ukrainian soil, they were brutally exposed. Collective discipline is exactly the kind of image authoritarian leadership loves. It looks obedient, controlled, and impressive. But on a real battlefield, I believe that machine-like mentality can lead to devastating consequences.

Apparently, one of my posts went viral. Twitter never sent me a notification, so I only realized it days later when I checked my profile. I am not even sure whether people will see my response. What I wrote was too harsh for many people. That is fine. As a media literacy educator, I stand fully behind it. Critical Thinker and people like him are no different from NPCs. Their entire existence is built around spreading poison, feeding hatred, lying shamelessly every day, and pushing far-right propaganda. Their purpose is to hate everything. I did not like The Odyssey either; my tweet is still there below. But I did not spend my days posting endless tweets and videos about The Odyssey and the people involved in it. One of the people who replied to me and accused me of being "far left," whatever that has to do with anything, has a YouTube channel half-filled with The Odyssey videos. They have milked the culture war dry, but the moment I say what they actually are, I become the bad guy. So be it. What The Critical Thinker and his equivalents are doing is no longer simply "not liking a film." These are people who spit hatred the second they open their mouths, and tolerating them under the cover of "free speech" is one of the reasons our society is now so fractured. These people are a disease among us. When someone poisons the room every single day, calling them poisonous is not cruelty; it is realism. And as a media literacy educator, I see it as my responsibility to make that visible and to help ensure that the next generation does not take people like this seriously. I am writing this knowing I may share it again in the future. One of our biggest problems is that people who spend their entire day spreading hatred are still treated as "normal." A tiny group of people poisons millions of ordinary people every day. In my view, that tiny group has no place on social media. Our naivety, our tolerance toward wolves, and our constant retreat behind the phrase "free speech" are among the main reasons far-right views and political movements have grown so much. For the last decade, we tolerated hate speech. Now someone has to speak so that it stops being tolerated. I will be one of those people.
