USCRI is calling for urgent action as man-made starvation grips refugee camps in #Kenya. The slashing of humanitarian aid by the United States has left hundreds of thousands of refugees in #Kakuma, #Kalobeyei, and #Dadaab without food. Protests yesterday in Kakuma over devastating cuts to food rations turned violent, leaving refugees injured, unconfirmed fatalities, & a fire at a WFP facility. TPS exists so people who cannot return to their home country because of war, natural disasters, or other extenuating circumstances can remain safe and contribute to America. Sending people back to violence, dictatorship, and chaos is un-American. We must protect these families.
