@unusual_whales That’s because it goes to organizations that claim to take care of homeless people to pay their six-figure salaries. And they like to buy and furnish lavish buildings that house maybe 10 people which the same amount could house 50

@unusual_whales That sounds about right. I remember before covid, Cali getting a big grant, billions. Since covid the homeless issue has only gotten worse. Giving money to people does solve a problem it only covers the issue.
@unusual_whales They open the borders to all illegals they can possibly squeeze into the state. Then you give them free health care, education and now looking at housing. And you wonder why $24B isn't enough? Socialism is great until you run out of other peoples $$.
