Caught carrying a knife automatic 2 years in jail and you do the 2 years not 6 months and release based on good behaviour. Caught again once released 5 years in prison! People will start to think twice about carrying

Let that family question the child… old enough to stab someone, old enough to answer to it. All under controlled circumstances of course.

The justice system doesn't work, the NHS doesn't have the resource to deal with mental health issues so we can talk until we are blue in the face but nothing will change unless there is a complete overhaul!

When I was in school a kid kept threatening to stab girls, eventually did stab one with scissors Noone cared. Currently he's doing 20+ for murder. Avoidable if they cared.

I live near a school, and the language is awful towards others . I think that is where it starts. Words CAN hurt

What I will say, yes, we want kids not to carry knives but the reason might be deep seated, they’ve seen their friends/family being killed…trauma is an underlying issue. And law isn’t strong enough on zombie knife sales etc.

Maybe that needs to be looked into so kids recieve the appropriate care in the first place? #JeremyVine
