This video below is what “waking up” used to mean. This. This is what waking up actually looks like. People ask why point out what's wrong if we don't offer ready-made solutions. “Don't show me what's wrong with the world unless you can fix it.” Well, until we recreate some common ground, the kind we used to share in this country and as humans not even that long ago, we won't be able to fix a damn thing. The level of empathy is so abysmally low, and the wall of intolerance against opposing opinions and worldviews is so incredibly high, people refuse to even hear each other out anymore. And when they finally do, people would rather focus on and fight about our differences than focus on and find strength within our similarities and those things we can all agree on. (Like how we're all getting financially f'd — there's something we can pretty much all agree on.) Our mainstream media, sold out to the highest bidder, has been perfecting divide and conquer tactics for decades. Now any time something happens in this world, depending on whether you watch it on Fox News or CNN, you will see the exact same event which took place in only one physical plane of reality reported in two completely different and purposefully opposing ways — as if it's two separate events happening in two entirely different realities. Logically we know that isn't the case, and yet, we allow ourselves to be led down two entirely different and opposing avenues of thought. Notice the guy in this video keeps his story purposefully vague. Smart move. It's harder for people to kneejerk react to labels that way and shut down before they even have the chance to actually think for themselves. Several times he references how his identification with a political party effectively disabled him from being able to see or consider any other narrative. He uses the phrase “mental block”. Similar blocks are reported in victims of cult programming. Such psychological blocks are like horse blinders, disabling people from being able to see outside the cult's prescribed version of reality. One's ability to think critically for themselves is shut down and replaced by the cult narrative. That's on purpose and by design. Cult rhetoric is self-insulating, and that bias becomes a tool of mind control. Self-identification with a cult also builds in the feeling of personal attack he spoke of, as if he is the cult — so if the cult gets called out for any reason, it automatically triggers defensiveness in the members, further reinforcing the programming. And the cult typically gives its members pat answers to any potential criticism of said cult or its leader(s) — so there's always a way to ignore and brush off those criticisms without having to actually consider them, especially anything that might reveal the cult for what it is or put a crack in its program. (I could go on, but I made an entire video on the characteristics of cults, so I'll just leave it here: youtube.com/watch?v=uVZKDJ…) They've been ripping us apart from each other on political lines for such a long time now, but if you don't even have the ability to actually listen to someone else and hear them out regardless of whether they agree with your opinions and worldview, how can the false realities we've been divided into ever come back together again? How do we even begin to rediscover our common ground? Because our common ground is the only place we'll ever find solutions. United we stand. Divided we fall. It really is that simple. Hopefully more people will start to actually wake up to the mental box they are trapped in. And by the way, no one ever runs out and purposefully joins a cult. They think they're joining a political organization or a religious movement or a self-help group.
@truthstreamnews This is a high-level analysis! So spot on. For some reason, I don't seem to jive with your audience as I get zero acknowledgments, but for what it's worth I do appreciate your work and your great great documentaries. You guys are a national asset.
thank you for posting. not sure what will bring us back together, but i agree that not much progress can be made until that happens. i also believe it will happen. they will not stop pushing until we push back, so it's inevitable that we will do so. the sooner the better, as far as i'm concerned
@truthstreamnews I love his communication style, and purposeful language. He gives no ammunition for Alinksyism. Who is this man, and can we platform him more?!?!? He is such a master of communicating humanity itself
@truthstreamnews I agree so much with what you've said here. The cult I se e is with most people wanting to support women financially but not many people wanting to do the same with men. There is very little empathy for men in this country unfortunately. Men are treated like refuse.
@truthstreamnews @DBrozeLiveFree Statism is the biggest problem.
