It’s always a privilege to discuss important constitutional questions with @AliVelshi, who really does his homework and asks penetrating questions. Here’s today’s conversation about Trump’s eligibility to be president again and even to run for that office msnbc.com/ali-velshi/wat…
@tribelaw @AliVelshi IMO, the question is not whether Trump’s conduct fits the #14A standard - of course it does. The question is this: if Donald Trump is not barred by the text of the Constitution from running again, why is Barack Obama barred by the text of the Constitution from running again?
@tribelaw @AliVelshi Pretty hard to convict someone of a crime that was never committed. Read the laws on insurrection. rumble.com/v3alxtq-trump-…
@tribelaw @AliVelshi Every American has the right to ask questions especially when it comes too OUR VOTES. You are a liar, you are supporting a political party that is arresting its #1 opponent and you are cheating us. 2024 is coming up fast get ready for retribution. Put on your swastika dude
@tribelaw @AliVelshi Trump is a national security risk. The 14th is one way with standing. If not, then 90 charges should do the trick.
@tribelaw @AliVelshi You and Luttig have convinced me. At first I thought this was just wishful thinking by Constitution nerds. Not so, it is VERY real and, as you said, if it doesn’t apply to Trump, then who does it apply to?
@tribelaw @AliVelshi Retired Federal Appellate Court Justice J. Michael Luttig who co-authored with Laurence Tribe, an article Atlantic magazine, on how Trump is forever disqualified from seeking or being in any elected office. Now either the Courts or the Congress must forever ban Trump from office.
@tribelaw @AliVelshi Baseball managers would love a guy like Ali Velshi. He's the ultimate "Utility Player"; someone who can play almost every position & do it so well you hardly miss the one who normally occupies it.
@tribelaw @ojelibom @AliVelshi It’s always a pleasure to hear you professor. Always an education.
@tribelaw @AliVelshi 🍁 That was a very good discussion. Please give some thought to doing the same on Gen. Flynn & why he should not hold the rank he does even in Retirement ? That would be useful to hear as well IMO.
