Sony is reportedly pausing PSVR2 production to clear excess inventory. Sales of the $550 headset are reportedly slowing due to a lack of games, allowing inventory to pile up theverge.com/2024/3/18/2410…
@tomwarren If someone could develop something to avoid the motion sickness, this tech would be mass adopted very quickly, but for now, people who don’t want to puke, will avoid this tech.
@tomwarren The writing was on the wall for PSVR2 for awhile now and should be a learning experience for Sony if they are looking to make a standalone handheld (yet another platform) to support by their game devs.
@tomwarren Any chance of a price drop anytime soon??
@tomwarren The games is only half the problem, price is the larger factor
@tomwarren Dam you lost me when I saw this was from the notorious clickbait writer from Bloomberg
@tomwarren When you don't have the games, your product is going to struggle! Especially for a very niche Product.
@tomwarren @BitCloudGaming This is a lie. Don't believe it.
@tomwarren Lack of games is a laughable excuse. Their competition is a $250-$350 standalone headset that can be connected to a PC, and the best they can do is a $550 headset tethered to a $500 game system for $60 per game. Truly some value there🙏🏻
@tomwarren I have a friend of mine who brought one we all played around with it for a couple of days. It’s OK, but the technology is just not there. Sorry, Sony.🙀
