Had an amazing family reunion this morning! The usual pace pushers took us to the top of Oak Knoll hill six miles out from which point we proceeded to dial up the pace all the way back. Very fit bunch of old guys (and a few young Broncos on their heels probably laughing at us…).

Started the day showing this shirt to our group at Busse - ended it using the shirt for its current purpose. First shirt I received as a volunteer coach under @TyGorman_edu . If you coach long enough, you tend to learn (and then teach) the one point lesson, one way or the other!

Team results and “translated” high schools each “club” were from.
5th in Illinois. 8 points out of third. Joey all state (or “all Shazam”?) in 16th. So grateful for the opportunities to compete these guys were able to take advantage of this fall. 2nd highest team finish in a “state” meet in school history.
@TyGorman_edu @BarringtonXC @cstec80 That senior-laden team scored one of our best team finishes ever (7th) behind the famous .@nick_farina , all state in XC, then remembered forever as the guy who wouldn’t let .@EvanJager have it easy in that 1600m state final... marvelous chapters indeed!
@TyGorman_edu @BarringtonXC @cstec80 I can name them all! Most of them were the “little kids” when I was a senior. Only one I had to cheat on was that sophomore in the front row (M. Barnes, I’m assuming) as he was part of the one or two classes I neither ran with or coached in the last 19 years...
