Just saw the strangest thing fly over Birmingham UK, I thought it was a plane but it looked like a single dot with mist around it and a line of dots next to it travelling at the same speed! When I looked through binoculars it appeared to speed up. I am assuming a Starlink launch?

Did anyone spot this amazing huge 22 degree Lunar Halo last night? I’ve pushed the saturation & detail to bring out the rainbow and also the even rarer Parhelic Circle - a horizontal line which would stretch all around the horizon #lunarhalo #22degreelunarhalo #parheliccircle

Equipment It goes without saying you need a long telephoto lens to achieve this, as well as a capable & relatively high res camera. I used a Sony a7riv and Sony 200-600 lens, but they’re not necessarily the best combo for this shot So maybe it wasn’t that lucky after all!

Edit Given the rush to get this shot I almost missed it off the edge of the frame, it was right in the corner. I had to crop it and then made a few tweaks to make the silhouette darker and bring out some detail in the moon by adjusting the contrast. It’s a raw file so it’s easy
