My cold emails to churches haven't worked before, time to see if this particular Catholic church will reply to me... (I'm not planning to convert, but I feel like I gotta visit ALL the church types after so long not going to any, see what's up everywhere.)

@once_darkness Despite being drawn to dystopias, they tend to be some of the biggest culprits for bothering me. "Oh, in the future everything is Bad? Collapsed? There's no Church at all standing against the darkness? Just the teenagers with a love triangle? So much verisimilitude." 😂

@once_darkness And #3 is so, so important. It's also hard for me to read non-christian fiction if there's big stakes, cuz it's either "This isn't the real answer for our internal/societal problems" or "Don't want to be stuck making a deal with a devil? You need Jesus, why you doing this--???"
@once_darkness Thank you! I literally can't stop myself from doing it, but I've had people complain about it before, so I still feel like I'm "not allowed" to do it. Hopefully I can just go all in and ignore past criticisms. 💪
Same! I almost added "A princess" as a bonus for "What's in my books", but decided against it cuz my current WIP only has queens and nobles in it. But more often than not, there's a princess!
