"We are such an instant gratification era. We are trying to skip the step of adversity and growth and you're never going to be able to skip that in life. You're always going to have to face it." @CoachDrinkwitz Greatness isn't achieved without adversity, but because of it.
@thewinningdiff1 @CoachDrinkwitz Does this go the same for Coaches?
@thewinningdiff1 @_CoachPeery @CoachDrinkwitz So well said! We are losing the emphasis on resilience, toughness, and grit by stealing the challenges away from people. Grit isn't talent or luck, it's the ability to have stamina and endure. Grit is a mindset that you grow and build over time.
@thewinningdiff1 @CoachDrinkwitz Love this!! This is why sports are so important.
@thewinningdiff1 @CoachDrinkwitz The key to success. I owe my life to being able to face adversity.
@thewinningdiff1 @CoachDrinkwitz Good on you Coach D... been saying this for a long time. Adversity is so important in life and sports. I'll take it one step farther, recruiting is not all about talent and potential. We need to get back to the old days of getting to know the person and their families.
