How the fly trades: Market data - DexScreener finds pools and gives liquidity, volume and pool age. - GeckoTerminal gives candles: hourly for tokens older than about 20 h, 5-minute for younger ones. - Alchemy gives token metadata and the ETH/USD price. Features - Log return over the window, realized volatility (standard deviation of the log returns), and a momentum score z = ret / (sd·√n): how hard it's rising relative to its own noise. Guards before tasting - Pool at least 1 h old, liquidity at least $25k (cross-checked between DexScreener and GeckoTerminal), a volume floor, enough candles. - A real route back to ETH: it quotes buy-then-sell and refuses if the round trip loses more than 12%. Sensory encoding - z ≥ 0.35: Poisson spike trains into the fly's sugar gustatory receptor neurons. - 0.25–0.35: sugar plus bitter neurons, and the bitter veto usually wins. - Anything lower: no stimulus. - A crash registers as a looming stimulus to the visual system (giant-fiber escape); grooming input goes to the aDN descending neurons. Brain - The FlyWire connectome: 176,422 neurons and 6apses. - Simulated as leaky integrate-and-fire neuronsoming spikes, leaks back toward rest, fires at threshold and resets. About 3.5 s of compute Readout - If MN9, the proboscis (feeding) motor neuron, fires above 20 Hz, it's a BUY; otherwise it's a reject or ignore. - A giant-fiber spike means escape: it dumps th Execution - KyberSwap aggregator routes (LI.FI as fallback), signed with ethers.js from the fly's own wallet on the server. - Slippage retries at 2% → 6% → 12% when the price runs away between quote and send. - It manages its own nonces, and a pending-trade journal means a restart can never double-spend. Sizing - $20–$100 from a score of pool depth (log scale), heat (z) and turnover (volume ÷ liquidity), with some jitter. - Never more than 2% of the pool; a paid feed was paid. - When short on ETH, it spends 10–30% of what's spare. - It always keeps enough ETH for gas plus the holds. Exits - It polls held pools continuously, across mulad-reading filtering. - It sells on a stop, or on a trailing take-pr enough. $TFLY is never sold. Food sources - Paid feeds (verified on-chain), 3 free feeds: after 3 idle minutes it tastes the chain's biggest 24 h riser. Everything is public - Every decision is logged with its neural netweork and a tx link on the explorer.
