You are not a burden. You are not too much. And even here, you are worthy of love.
There is a lot going on and this is also true: you do not have to sort through everything tonight.
It is possible to desire forward movement in your life without apologizing for where you currently are.
It is okay to say "I miss what was" while anticipating what is yet to come.
It may take some time to work your way into acceptance, but in that place, you are free to turn around and try again.
Just remember, you will arrive where you are meant to be when you are meant to be there. Let this be what keeps you focused while you are still on the journey.
A reminder for the restless mind: You do not have to have all of the answers right now. You do not have to sort it all out right here. It will absolutely feel that way, but at the same time, this is true: as the world moves around you, the ground is steady beneath your feet.
When you're tired or weary from traveling through your deepest emotional wilderness, may you always remember it is okay to travel this slowly.
You might be feeling a little pressure to answer questions about “what’s next,” but I hope you know that no one, not even the person that’s asking, has it all figured out yet.
You are growing and being strengthened in this season.
You might not know exactly how it’s all going to turn out, but you are being prepared for it, deep within.
You don’t have to arrive at your picture-perfect life before you can know peace.
Just know this: you are allowed to keep longing for more, while trusting that this present season is asking for your attention for a reason.
Not all people are the same. Not all cities are the same. Not all seasons of life are the same. You are not the same. You have grown and you are changing and you are allowed to experience beauty, love, goodness, and connection, no matter what yesterday looked like.
Contentment teaches you this: life is about more than arriving somewhere, it’s about fully embracing every place on the journey there.
You are not a burden. You are not a failure. You are more than what darkness has said you would be. You are more than every late-night thought, every early-morning worry, every wave of anxiety, every fear, and every doubt.
May nothing and no one make you feel that you are not worthy of Light. You may have a lot of your mind, and you may have been made to feel lonely, without purpose, or unworthy, but Light is unafraid of those things.
Be gentle when you are trying to be grateful for where you are, while you are still missing what was.
Being content isn't about settling for less. Being content is realizing that there is beauty all around you even before you get where you want to be.
In the highs and lows of it all, you are still being led where you are meant to be. As you journey in that direction, you will have the strength and courage you need.

The sky was clear that day and it felt like a good day to try to remember, through it all: we were made to fly.
I don’t know if vertical video works very well on Twitter, but I was really proud of this piece I made and wanted to share it, anyway. ☺️♥️
You might need more rest and recovery time than you thought you needed and that’s okay.
One day you will look back and be so glad you chose to step forth in this season. You will be so grateful that even when you were met with resistance, it was worth it to keep breathing through.

Perhaps the weight of last year is still sitting heavy on your shoulders. Maybe there are mixed emotions as you think about the things that happened and the things that did not.
A few reminders for the day:
If only you could see yourself right now, a year from now, you would be so proud of yourself. You would be at awe that with everything you were faced with, you still found unbridled strength. You kept hope when it did not make sense. You found peace right here in the wild of it.
