One thing I’ve learned the hard way is that not everyone you help will be happy to see you doing well. There was a time I introduced someone to an opportunity at my workplace in software engineering. I knew the person was looking for a chance, and I felt I could help. I spoke to the right people, put in a good word, and gave them a chance to prove themselves. I never expected anything in return. I just wanted to see someone else get an opportunity. But with time, I started noticing a change in how some of my colleagues treated me. Conversations became different. Things I had never said somehow found their way back to me, and I could tell that someone was painting a different picture of who I was behind my back. The painful part was discovering that the same person I had helped was part of the problem. Imagine using your own credibility to help someone enter a place where you work, only for that person to start damaging the reputation you spent years building. In software engineering, your skills matter, but your reputation matters too. People trust you with projects, responsibilities, and opportunities because of the kind of person they believe you are. And sometimes, all it takes is one person telling the wrong story about you to make people start questioning everything they once believed. I won't lie, it hurt. Not because I expected the person to worship me for helping them, but because I never imagined that my kindness would become a reason for someone to work against me. That experience taught me something I will never forget. Help people when you can, but don't ignore their character just because you understand their struggles. You can open a door for someone without giving them permission to destroy your name. Have you ever helped someone get an opportunity, only for them to turn around and betray you?

we’re down to about 2 hours now 👀 one thing worth remembering though, this isn’t a “be there the second it opens or you miss out” sale. it runs for 2 weeks, and if the 130M allocation is oversubscribed, you get your share and the excess USDC comes back. so yeah, I’m watching the launch. just not panic-refreshing at 3PM

my wife and i spent seven years trying to have a child, but our housemaid discovered a secret that changed everything. for seven years, my wife and i tried to have a child, but nothing happened. we visited several hospitals, spent a lot of money on medical tests, and followed the doctors' advice. each time, the results came back almost the same. "both of you are fine. we cannot find any major problem." i was relieved whenever i heard those words, but deep down, i was worried. i wanted to become a father, and my wife always encouraged me to remain patient. whenever i became frustrated, she would hold my hand and say, "my husband, allah knows the best time for everything. our own day will come." i believed her completely. i defended her whenever family members questioned why we had no children. i never allowed anyone to blame her because i believed we were facing the problem together. what i didn't know was that my wife was hiding something from me. one saturday morning, our housemaid was cleaning the toilet when she discovered a small medicine pack behind the waste bin. she picked it up and noticed that it was related to birth control. she became confused because she knew how desperately my wife and i wanted a child. later that afternoon, she approached me privately. "oga, please, i want to tell you something, but don't tell madam i was the one who told you." i looked at her and asked what had happened. she brought out the medicine pack and handed it to me. the moment i saw it, my heart began to beat faster. i looked at her and asked, "where exactly did you find this?" she explained that she had discovered it while cleaning the toilet. i dismissed her and went into my room, holding the pack in my hand. seven years of hospital visits. seven years of prayers. seven years of disappointment. and now, i was holding something that raised a question i had never imagined asking my wife. why would a woman who desperately wanted a child be using birth control? that evening, i decided to confront her. i had no idea that the conversation would change our marriage forever. to be continued...

This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone use a knee in a street fight and then follow it up with a victory walk😂😂😂
