No more US dollar needed in India-Malaysia trade! ⚡️ Indian Rupee (INR) can now be used for imports and exports. Interestingly, it all started with US/EU sanctions on Russia. 😆 In order to buy Russian oil/coal/fertilizer etc., the Indian central bank (RBI) created special “Vostro” accounts to circumvent USD last year. Once that was successful, it was easy to copy-paste the mechanism elsewhere. Now, 18 other countries — including UK and Germany (!) — are working on implementing this type of settlement. timesnownews.com/business-econo… #dedollarization
@Kanthan2030 This is copium level hard.🤦♂️ The US don't give a sh** about the trade currency between India and Malaysia, as long as both countries hold their reserves in US dollar, which is around $600B for India and $100B for Malaysia.
@Adam101001000 @Kanthan2030 Oh hey, look! A US bot/operative is combating actual massive real-world change with - checks notes - a PR-generated buzz word: copium. Good job. That should win the battle!
