Emotional intelligence isn’t about catering to someone else’s every mood. It’s the ability to control your OWN emotions, think clearly under pressure, and respond like a rational adult. It’s about self-control, awareness, and taking responsibility for how your feelings affect others. also when they say they want a man with emotional mature, what they actually mean is: be hyper-attentive to my moods, anticipate my feelings, bend yourself around me, and put my emotions above everything else. But the moment a man stands up for his own feelings, sets boundaries, or refuses to constantly carry their emotional load, he’s branded “insensitive” emotionally unitelligent or “emotionally immature.” Let’s be honest: they don’t want intelligence…they want an emotional punching bag.
