The theme for this year for Girls in ICT 2022 is “Access and Safety”. For girls and young women to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers, they need safe and reliable access to the internet and digital tools. #techdada #GirlsinICTDay2022

We will be screening "Hidden Figures" at Tunapanda Institute. Hidden Figures is about Three female African-American mathematicians play a pivotal role in astronaut John Glenn's launch into orbit. Meanwhile, they also have to deal with racial and gender discrimination at work.

DAY 1/4: It was the first day of the bootcamp. 21 young learners showed up for the classes and were introduced to computer basics. They then went ahead to learn simple space exploration games. We're using #Tynker to track kids' project progress. Renice Owino was the lead trainer.
