It sucks to be an Iranian leftist because on the one hand we have the likes of Arash Azizi and on the other people like this and Jackson Hinkel

@still_oppressed Frantz Fanon should be required reading for Iranian diaspora. The perspective is escaping them.
@still_oppressed Shah and West favored Islamists over socialists for obvious reason, but after the revolution, lranian socialists made horrible strategic decisions to bIow up normal people and infrastructure and side with enemy powers. That made them so unpopular within people of lran...
@still_oppressed What she said is true.
@still_oppressed Lol, you’re mad at history.
@still_oppressed Hinkel is an opportunist, doubt he'll even support the resistance
@still_oppressed Does Shapour Bakhtiar count as an Iranian leftist? Seems like he should considering how quickly he implemented freedom of speech, dissolved SAVAK, etc The Shah would’ve never done it, but if Bakhtiar were appointed PM in the mid 1970s, maybe the revolution wouldn’t have happened
@still_oppressed Arash Azizi is a disappointment to Arashes everywhere
@still_oppressed Is it true the big divide within diaspora politics is because most who made it to America were right-wing while left-wing dissidents tended to stay in Europe or outside of the USA?
