I think I have finally found my end-game Linux experience! Been trying out a couple distros ever-since I built up an appetite for new experiences after switching to a Mac. Windows has only been getting worse despite their promises and so I wanted something fresh for my old machine. Tried PopOS but it's shipping with a UI that's hardly complete (Cosmic DE). Gamers recommended Bazzite so I tried the KDE version and it felt as bloated as Windows. The gnome version baited me into thinking it'll be like my macbook and let's just say.. I hate gnome now. Mint is fairly old and so I was avoiding it thinking it will be dated and bloated but then I gave it a shot and damn. Like Marie Kondo would put it.. this SPARKS JOY. The UI is polished + it has GUI for all the essentials like app installs, updates, drivers etc and it's not filled to the brim with random shit I don't want (looking at you Bazzite). Even a toggle for switching off the dGPU did not require fighting with the terminal. Going to daily drive this on this laptop. Good bye microslop and distro hopping.

@jgfd45432 Cosmic DE seems to be incomplete and buggy. Besides that PopOS worked well. Bazzite is too bloated and overwhelming for me. I prefer a clean starting slate.
