@munster_gene @SpaceX Re tesla. I think a new affordable car build on the cybercab platform with a steering mechanism makes sense. He needs something to fill the chasm between human driven and autonomous transport and this would be key. It is going to be a long time before cybercab pays out.

@munster_gene @SpaceX He is so obsessed with beating Sam that he is putting all three companies at risk. Today he is losing in ai. His models are strong but he lacks the scale that others like google and open ai have. His bet seems to be to win in space with a vertically integrated approach. Hard.

@munster_gene There is definitely a smaller cybertruck coming gene. He is not one to give up and that could finally get that platform to liftoff. I worry about the next 2 to 3 years with Tesla. He is right about a mostly autonomous future but it is going to be brutal getting there.

@elonmusk @grok I use grok in my Tesla. I like it but it hqs made numerous factual mistakes . They need to address accuracy asap. Gemini smokes from my pov as I am not sure a fair amount of the time whether it is being factually accurate.

@hblodget Gemini is very very compelling. The free month trial to v3 pro is going to convert a lot of people - chat gpt will start to flat line. There isn’t enough lock in. That will make it hard to support their infrastructure build out which will limit their competitiveness.

@great_martis There is no doubt that it is expensive BUT if it grows at a rate of 50 percent a year for three years and maintains a 30 percent operating margin, the current price isn’t as ridiculous as it looks. I do think pltr may end up being the number 1 company of this era.

@altcap I don’t fault Sam for doing what he can to compete but I do think there is significant risk (>50 %) that open ai loses to google starting with Gemini 3 and that this unique/ entangled funding structure falls apart. Gemini is excellent.
