Arrangements on the album followed an unusual process: Corgan wrote the basic structure for each song and the melody was split into four sections based on the pitch. The production team then programmed synth melodies in each voicing, combining them into a multitrack recording.
Billy Corgan's TheFutureEmbrace released June 21, 2005! Markedly different from most of his earlier work, it used electronic sounds punctuated with heavily distorted guitar parts reminiscent of shoegazing. It peaked #31 in the US and at #89 in the UK. spcodex.wiki/TheFutureEmbra…

Happy birthday to drummer god Jimmy Chamberlin! Originally trained in jazz, he in general is one of the few hard rock drummers to combine a driving backbeat with jazz-like flourishes. In 2008, Gigwise named Chamberlin the 5th best drummer of all time. spcodex.wiki/Jimmy_Chamberl…
The music video features the band in Batman-like costumes floating in front of Batman imagery. It is one of two to have a different drummer than Chamberlin and is the only video with Walker on drums before his departure. The video was nominated for Best Direction at the MTV VMAs.
Billy Corgan said of the song: "For me, it was a great kind of artistic thing to do because it was very freeing. I wasn't talking about myself or trying to represent [SP]. I was trying to represent Batman." He also said the lyrics were meant to represent the "darker" 1940s Batman
