Slagging off Wetherspoons is a sign of deep privilege It keeps people fed for cheap in this economy whilst everyone else is ripping people off Keeps 41,000 in employment with money in pockets who otherwise would struggle to get a job Those who slag it off are out of touch
In the last 10 years it’s tax from customers, employees and business will have generated £5.6billion - all going towards services that mostly benefit less well off people, it provides a warm place for the elderly and homeless to go. That’s a proper British business 🇬🇧
@sophielouisecc Why do you assume that people who don't like cold dry burgers or bog standard beer, are being ripped off elsewhere? I go to local independent bars and enjoy much better food and drinks, all while knowing the staff there aren't being taken advantage of.
@sophielouisecc For once I sort of agree with you .
@sophielouisecc Also, he laid off all its staff during the pandemic just to save a few bucks while 41.000 went without money when he could have just kept them employed so they could have had 80% of their wages with no cost to him. But he didn't because he didn't care a jot
@sophielouisecc I remember how Tim Martin treated his staff and suppliers during Covid. Horrible man. He’d shaft anyone.
@sophielouisecc Yes, true and destroyed a lot of local pubs in the process.
@sophielouisecc Never knew Wetherspoons was a food bank 🤷🏽♂️ Are they a registered charity Coc woman?
@sophielouisecc Weatherspoons breakfasts are great, their Eggs Benedict is so good at 5.60, add 2 slabs of fried black pudding for £1.50 and you've got a legendary breakfast
